Red 22843, in homage of a moniker the late Malcolm X once held (Detroit Red), and the incarceration identification number (2283) he had while imprisoned. Arguably, these aren't the most memorable attributes of Malcolm X. However, it highlights the death and rebirth of a man. It is simplyremarkable that his rehabilitation, emancipation, and power were birthed at a juncture when he was navigating a prison system designed for his destruction.
